This is a blog of homilies, reflections, and photos from a Roman Catholic priest serving in the Diocese of Jackson in the state of Mississippi. Currently, I am the pastor of Holy Savior in Clinton and Immaculate Conception in Raymond. I have served as Vicar General of the Diocese since July 2019. I also serve as Catholic chaplain in the federal prison in Yazoo City and the state prison in Pearl.

King Cake

King Cake is a tradition during the Mardi Gras season before Lent here in Mississippi - probably a tradition that came to us from nearby Louisiana. My friend Margaret Campbell gave us a King Cake from the marvelous Broad Street Bakery in Jackson - what a wonderful treat.

Father Lincoln: Pearl, MS, United States; After serving as a priest at St Richard and Holy Family Parishes in Jackson, Mississippi for 2 1/2 years, and then in Yazoo and Humphreys Counties in the Mississippi Delta for 2 years and in Tupelo in Northeast Mississippi for 4 1/2 years, I am now the pastor of St Jude Catholic Church in the city of Pearl, just outside of the city of Jackson in central Mississippi.
