This is a blog of homilies, reflections, and photos from a Roman Catholic priest serving in the Diocese of Jackson in the state of Mississippi. Currently, I am the pastor of Holy Savior in Clinton and Immaculate Conception in Raymond. I have served as Vicar General of the Diocese since July 2019. I also serve as Catholic chaplain in the federal prison in Yazoo City and the state prison in Pearl.

Stand up for religious freedom - today in Jackson, Mississippi
Today, the people of Jackson are speaking out for religious freedom. The Jackson Stand Up for Religious Freedom Rally will begin at noon on June 8 at the U.S. Courthouse, 501 Court Street, in downtown Jackson (corner of S. Congress and Court St.). The Jackson Stand Up for Religious Freedom Rally has been organized by Beverly McMillan, local media spokesperson, and head of Pro-Life Mississipi. I will not be there physically - I will be in Yazoo City at my afternoon mass. However, I will be there in spirit.
